Dubbed the ultimate infinity pool and picnic spot in the world, the Devil’s Pool is a natural rock pool on the edge of the Victoria Falls adjacent to Livingstone Island on the Zambian side of the Zambezi river. During the dry season, Devil’s Pool is shallow enough that people can safely swim right to the edge before the waterfall drops more than 300 feet (100m).
During low water five trips a day to Livingstone Island are offered, with boat transfers from the Royal Livingstone Hotel in a twin-engine boat that carries up to 12 people, taking you through the fast-moving channels of the Zambezi, a thrilling journey. Exclusivity is what makes the island special as only 14 people are allowed on the island per trip.
Upon getting on the island, you will be given a guided tour, learning about its history, when it served as a sacrificial site, to the present day. The swim in the pool is as close as you can get to the thunderous roar and permanent rainbows of this magnificent Natural World Wonder. Breakfast, Lunch and High Tea Trip options available. br>
